We collect information you provide directly (name, email, profile details), information generated by your use of the platform (posts, follows, subscriptions, messages), and technical data (IP address, browser type, device identifiers). Payment information is processed directly by Stripe and is not stored on Gild's servers.
We use your information to: operate and improve the Gild platform; process payments and payouts; send transactional emails (receipts, notifications); enforce our Terms of Service; and communicate platform updates. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We share your information with: Stripe (payment processing); Clerk (authentication); Supabase (database hosting); Stream (messaging and activity feeds); Mux (video hosting); and Vercel (hosting infrastructure). These third parties are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
Creators may see aggregate information about their subscribers (count, subscription tier). Creators do not receive fans' payment information or personal contact details unless a fan chooses to share them directly.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for fraud prevention.
Gild uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and analytics. You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies may affect platform functionality.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access, correct, or delete your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted data storage, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Gild account.
Gild is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
